Well the storms the other day were strong enough for my basement to flood. Luckily, we only got a few inches that receeded right away. However, I was lucky (if you can call it that) that I was able to leave work early and clean up the basement. Not exactly how I wanted to spend several hours.
The storms also knocked out our cable internet. Which affects our phone now that we have Vonage. Comcast left us a message on our non-working phone, that service was restored to our area. However, it wasn't. WTF?!?!?! No idea when it will be up.

holy shit... another updated blog. your wife was probably smart and didn't let you leave her for a whole weekend with a new baby... our basement got a lot of water as well. it came in through the window well.
