Ok, it's been a bit since the last post. But if you look at the first couple of posts, I'm blogging like a madman.
Last Wed., I woke to the sound of our carbon monoxide detector. It's loud. Especially at 4:30 in the morning or whenever it was. We went downstairs and unplugged it and opened some windows. I went into the basement and there seemed to be an odor coming from the furnace. So, I turned off the gas.
We ended up having a furnace guy, Nicor (gas) guy, and 3 firemen in our house. Gina brought Chris to stay with her mom for the day. The fire dept. thought the furnace was the most likely culprit although they didn't feel 100%. Our furnace is OLD. It's the original furnace for our house and I think it was a couple model years old when they put it in. We also had a small natural gas leak from the pipe going to the furnace. Glad our house didn't explode. That would have really ruined my day.
The furnace guy really thought we should replace our furnace. We probably could get buy with getting the old one serviced, but it was really old. Amazingly, the guy didn't even try pushing an expensive furnace. They did a nice job besides dropping my old furnace on our hardwood floor.
Gina raced cross this weekend. I was tired and too lazy. Although I should race this weekend.
Stay tuned.

You should borrow Mountain Goat's camera so you could take a picture of your furnace. Maybe he could send you a pic of his furnace and you could say, this is my bitchin' new furnace.
Speaking of pictures, I saw a blog where a guy who is like the bestest racer had some cool pics. One was Abraham Lincoln. Whhoooaaaaahhhohoho dude! The other was the Washington Monument. I think that was the 1,000,000 th time I have seen it and it just keeps getting cooler every freakin' time. So you would have to,like, compete with that. I would like to see the furnace shot though.
Might be good racing this weekend. They are talking rain Saturday.
i would have posted some pics, but I posted from work. I don't have my camera or any pics here. Maybe I can try and update later from home.
Hey, MG, if I race I won't have gears. Unlike that crap you pulled on Sunday. I missed the crashed and only got to witness the aftermath.
That's why you always have to keep your eyes on the Goat...never know what you're going to miss.
Good luck with that no gears thing this weekend. I've tried that at cross. That's why I got a geared bike.
